I like how he takes the metal buildings and combines them with the beauty of the sky. Those two things go together like Mac & Cheese. I feel that his art is not completely original though in the fact that a lot of pictures out now in the publishing world feature this same theme. Sky and buildings. Modern things such as metal and concrete are a very prominent feature in photography now days.
Ramon San Andres R. seems to derive his inspiration from random things as well as buildings and people. He mostly does photography, but has a few paintings as well, which I find to be lacking in something for my taste.
This piece below makes me smile every time I stumble across it.
It is so innocent yet there is something about it that kind of makes you question it's intention.
Hello KGranden09!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very interesting blog here =) i just love how you take pieces that catch your attention and then you give an opinion about them. And good initiative adding unknown pieces from unknown people.
Today I googled my name to find my "family tree" and then my name for images, and occoasionaly this appeared. It seems a couple of my photos caught your attention, and even though they are not "the great piece of art" i felt greatly glad to know someone featured me in an external blog.
I think this website of yours is nicely done, kinda journalism and kinda artistic research.
The second image have intentions indeed :) i used to chatt a lot with a Polish girl, she became a very special person for me and we started sending letters and gifts. She sent me that pen and later i sent her the doll, which is a Mexican traditional figure. The intention was to show her that even though we are incredibly far, i was (and still i am) to be as close as she wanted. Then i made public the photo, but originaly it was just for her. So yeah, you got it, it has a story behind it :)
Write to me someday, moncho@live.nl, photography is my greatest hobbie :)
I thank you again.
-Ramón San Andrés Romero.
